1 / 3Built interface — Dyno readout
Overview
Dyno & Handling Lab takes vehicle tuning past the stock engine, brakes and transmission levels. A mechanic drives a car onto the dyno, runs it through the rev range and gets a power and torque curve drawn from the vehicle's live handling values, with the peak figures written to the vehicle's record. Handling presets per class, street, sport, drift, off-road and race, change acceleration, grip and drive bias in one action and are stored per plate so a car keeps its setup between sessions.
Nitrous and turbo come in stages with parts as inventory items. A stage one turbo is a mild boost that any shop can fit; stage three needs a strengthened engine and a sign-off from a mechanic of the right grade before it activates, and running a high stage without the supporting parts raises engine wear and the chance of a failure on a long pull. Tyre compounds, soft, medium, hard and off-road, trade grip against wear and are consumed over distance, so a race setup costs something to maintain.
Every dyno run goes on a leaderboard by class, with the plate, the shop that tuned it and the peak power, which gives mechanic businesses something to compete over and racers a reason to visit. Presets and stage limits are Lua tables, the handling changes are applied through natives on the client with server validation of the stored values, and the resource works alongside your existing mechanic job and tuning menu rather than replacing them.
What you get
- Dyno bench with rev sweep, power and torque curve and peak figures saved per plate
- Five handling presets per vehicle class stored per vehicle through oxmysql
- Nitrous and turbo in three stages as inventory items with part prerequisites
- Tyre compounds with grip and wear values consumed over distance
- Mechanic sign-off with job grade checks before high stages activate
- Engine wear and failure chance tied to stages without supporting parts
- Dyno leaderboard by class with plate, shop and peak power
- Example dyno and shop locations with props for the default mechanic interiors
Eligible resources
The plan covers these resource types. Individual resources are listed in your Gaming Library as they publish.
- Handling presets
- Dyno bench
- Turbo stages
- Nitrous stages
- Tyre compounds
- Leaderboard
Features
- Curves from live values
- The dyno reads the vehicle's actual handling values during the sweep, so the curve reflects the setup rather than a fixed number per model.
- Stages that need parts
- Higher turbo and nitrous stages require supporting parts and a graded mechanic's sign-off, or they run with wear and a failure chance.
- Setups that cost upkeep
- Tyre compounds wear with distance and race presets consume them faster, which gives shops repeat business and racers a budget.
Compatibility and requirements
Works with
- ESX, QBCore, Qbox or a standalone server with ox_lib
- ox_inventory or qb-inventory for parts and tyres
- oxmysql for per-plate setups and the leaderboard
- Works alongside existing mechanic job and tuning menu resources
You need
- A FiveM server you control with MySQL
- ox_lib installed and started before this resource
Updates and content cadence
- Compatibility updates as FiveM artifacts, handling natives, ox_lib and the frameworks change
- Fixes and balance revisions to presets, stages and wear values while subscribed
- New presets and part types added to the plan as they are written
