Overview
Datapack Club is a monthly release of datapacks for Java Edition that work on a vanilla server, a Paper server or a single-player world. Each pack is a .zip with a pack.mcmeta, a namespaced data folder and a readme, and it does nothing that needs a plugin, a mod or a resource pack unless the readme says so. Claim the month's release while subscribed and it stays yours.
Releases cover the things datapacks do well. Recipe packs add crafting, smelting and stonecutter recipes for blocks that vanilla leaves uncraftable. Structure packs add ruins, camps and towers to world generation with their own loot tables and jigsaw pools. Advancement packs add a tab of goals with rewards through functions. Mechanics packs add small systems such as sleeping bags, backpacks made from shulkers, graves on death or a coin drop from mobs.
World-gen packs adjust biome placement, ore distribution and structure spacing through the vanilla worldgen JSON, so a new world feels different without a generator plugin. Every pack is written for the current pack format and tested on a fresh world, and each readme lists the pack format, which packs it can run alongside and any command the pack adds, such as a /function namespace:menu entry point.
One new datapack is added each month, and the current library is available to browse from day one. Because the model is pick and keep, you choose the release you want for each period you are subscribed, download it from your Gaming Library and keep using it after you cancel. Packs that change when a Minecraft version raises the pack format are revised for subscribers who still hold them.
