1 / 3Built interface — Item detail
Overview
Custom Items Forge adds items to a Java Edition server that vanilla clients can see. Each item is a YAML definition paired with a model and texture in the included resource pack, shown through custom model data on a base item, so players need only accept the pack. Weapons carry damage, attack speed and reach values, armour carries protection and set bonuses, and consumables carry effects and cooldowns.
Furniture blocks are placed as item display entities with a collision barrier and a rotation snap, so a table sits square in a room and a lamp lights the block it stands on. Every item can be given a rarity, a lore template, an enchantment whitelist and a crafting recipe, and the recipe appears in a chest-style crafting GUI that players open at a forge block or with a command, with the required ingredients highlighted.
The plugin reads its own item folder and can also register items already defined in ItemsAdder or Oraxen packs, so a server that has invested in one of those keeps its content and gains the stats, set bonuses and GUI from this plugin. Blockbench sources for every included model are in the download, so re-texturing a sword or extending a furniture set is a normal editing job rather than a rebuild.
Compatibility updates follow Paper releases and resource pack format changes, including the item model and component changes Mojang has made across 1.21. Config lives in items.yml, recipes.yml and gui.yml, PlaceholderAPI exposes item counts and set bonus status, and a merge tool combines the Forge pack with your existing server pack so there is one download for players.

Features
- Items vanilla clients see
- Models and textures load through custom model data on the server resource pack, so no player needs a mod to see a new sword.
- Stats live in YAML
- Damage, protection, effects, cooldowns and set bonuses are plain fields, so balancing an item is an edit and a reload.
- Keeps your existing packs
- ItemsAdder and Oraxen items register into the same stat and recipe system, so a server does not have to start over.
